2025 DreamToys Forecast: Peppa Pig & Lego Take the Lead

The hottest toys for this holiday season have been revealed, with Peppa Pig, Wicked dolls, Formula 1 Lego, and Hot Wheels making the top picks. These products are expected to dominate the 2025 DreamToys list according to industry experts and toy retailers.

One of the standout items is the Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll, featuring more than 20 interactive sounds and including accessories like a playmat, bottle, dummy, bib, and blanket. Kids can also enjoy their own dinosaur experience with the Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex, where they can hatch the dinosaur from an egg shell and engage in interactive play.

The Wicked For Good Singing Dolls are anticipated to be popular, coinciding with the release of the final movie in the franchise. The 75th anniversary of Formula 1 is celebrated with Lego and Mattel’s Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit, as well as the Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC.

Other notable additions to the list include collectibles like Dress to Impress Mystery Model Dolls, Mini Brands Fill the Fridge Playset, and Pokemon. Building sets, particularly Lego, continue to be in high demand, with items like the Speed Champions F1 Racing Cars and the One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship.

The UK toy market is currently valued at £3.9 billion, with Christmas sales projected to contribute 23% of the total annual sales. Parents are increasing their spending on children’s gifts by 12% year on year, as reported by The Insights Family, marking the fourth consecutive year of growth.

Paul Reader, chairman of the DreamToys selection panel at the Toy Retailers Association, emphasized the diversity and creativity of this year’s toy selections, catering to various interests and sparking imagination. He highlighted the importance of in-store shopping support for both local and larger toy stores during the festive season.

Melissa Symonds, executive director of UK toys at Circana, highlighted the positive growth trend in the toy market after several years of a soft market, benefiting both manufacturers and retailers as they approach the crucial holiday shopping period.
