“Tragic Loss: Footballer and Father-to-Be Dies After Collapse”

A 28-year-old man who was a footballer and soon-to-be father has sadly passed away after collapsing during football training with his brother.

Maciej Białas had completed a training session and was visiting his twin brother when the tragic incident occurred. He suddenly fell ill, collapsed, and lost consciousness. His brother Mateusz immediately initiated resuscitation efforts, and there was a moment of hope when his heart resumed beating after the collapse on Saturday.

Emergency medical services swiftly transported him to the hospital, where surgeons performed a procedure to remove a clot that had triggered a heart attack. Despite his heart being revived, prolonged oxygen deprivation to his brain resulted in brain death.

Maciej and his wife, Wiktoria, were anticipating the arrival of a baby. He passed away in the fourth month of the pregnancy without knowing the gender of the child, later revealed to be a son.

His funeral will take place in Gniezno, located to the east of Poznań, Poland, tomorrow. Maciej had played for several clubs, including Mieszko Gniezno and Kolejarz Czeremcha, a team in the seventh tier.

Kolejarz Czeremcha paid tribute to Maciej, describing him as a son, husband, brother, colleague, and friend, highlighting his dedication, ambition, and inspiration to others both on and off the field.

In another unfortunate incident, a father issued a caution to travelers after his son passed away alongside his two boys while en route to Bulgaria.

Chris Neill, aged 40, and his sons Reece, 20, and Archie, 9, were traveling from Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport to Burgas on September 16 last year when Chris fell critically ill during the flight. A GoFundMe campaign was initiated by his parents, Mal and Lesley, to cover the expenses for repatriating his body back to the UK.

The fundraising effort surpassed its initial goal, raising nearly £10,000. On the anniversary of Chris’s passing, Mal disclosed that the funds were utilized to bring his body back home and establish a trust fund for the two boys with the remaining amount.

Mal traveled to Germany the following day to escort Reece and Archie back to the UK, while dealing with legal matters in Cologne. He mentioned that Chris believed he had travel insurance through his bank, Halifax, but it had lapsed, as shared by the Manchester Evening News shortly after the incident last year.
