“Sky Customers in the UK Now Have Free Access to HBO Max”

Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as HBO Max has arrived as a new streaming option, joining the already popular Disney+ on select plans. Subscribers with Sky Ultimate TV can now access HBO Max for free, offering a range of top titles like Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon at no additional cost, saving them over £50 annually.

Sky confirmed that customers with Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, and those with the right package on Sky Q, will receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. This new service, known for its extensive library of HBO dramas and Warner Bros. films, is now available in the UK, introducing viewers to a variety of compelling content.

To start enjoying HBO Max, eligible customers can easily activate the service by launching the HBO Max app from the homepage and following the on-screen instructions. For those not on the Sky Ultimate TV plan, switching to it from £22 per month (increasing to £24 from April 1st) will grant access to HBO Max along with over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed excitement about the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, providing a comprehensive entertainment experience. NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max within the NOW app at no extra charge.

For non-Sky subscribers interested in HBO Max, they can sign up directly on the HBO Max website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99. The arrival of HBO Max marks a significant milestone for entertainment offerings in the UK, expanding the range of content available to viewers.
