Love Island alum Helena Ford believes she has jeopardized any chance of returning to her previous job in the airline hospitality industry. The former cabin crew member transitioned to appearing on ITV’s dating show in 2025.
Unlike some of her Love Island counterparts who have successfully gone back to their pre-fame professions, the 29-year-old Helena fears she has burned bridges with her former employer due to her negative remarks about past passengers during her time on the reality show.
In an interview with the Daily Star, Helena expressed doubts about being rehired, stating, “I don’t think they will take me back after that roast I did. Plus all the passengers will think, ‘Oh no, I’m going to get roasted now.'” She added that she is not currently looking to return to her previous role, emphasizing the need for self-reflection and therapy to address personal shortcomings she observed while watching herself on television.
Meanwhile, another Love Island contestant, Mitchel Taylor from season 10 in 2023, who also participated in Love Island: All Stars in 2024, has decided to leave behind his influencer lifestyle and return to a conventional nine-to-five job. Mitchel, known for his wild antics on the show, shared on Instagram that relying solely on Love Island earnings was no longer sustainable, prompting his comeback as a gas engineer.
Encouraging others to diversify their income streams, Mitchel humorously mentioned the necessity of balancing reality TV fame with a regular job to maintain financial stability. Despite his past fame, he acknowledged the value of work and ruled out a potential return to Love Island, revealing his commitment to a relationship with TikTok personality Hayley Griffin.
As Mitchel embraced his new career path, he playfully interacted with his social media followers, sharing updates on his life and expressing gratitude for the stability and fulfillment offered by traditional employment.
