“Jamie Oliver’s Son Launches Debut Cookbook at 15”

On Sunday, Jamie Oliver proudly supported his eldest son’s first cookbook launch. The renowned chef, who has five children with his wife Jools, showcased Buddy Bear Oliver, who is about to turn 15, stepping into the culinary world just like his father.

Buddy, despite his young age, is determined to follow in Jamie’s footsteps and become a chef. Recently, he unveiled his own cookbook, 26 years after Jamie’s debut. Jamie took to Instagram to express his pride in his son’s accomplishment, sharing heartwarming photos of them together over the years.

The book, titled “Let’s Cook: Fun, Easy Recipes for Kids by Buddy Oliver,” was initially released in the UK in July 2024. While the US and Canadian audiences eagerly await its release, some UK fans criticized the family for nepotism. In response, Jamie defended Buddy, emphasizing his son’s positive intention to inspire other children to cook.

Apart from Buddy, Jamie and Jools are parents to four other children, including youngest son River Rocket and three daughters. Jamie has openly discussed the challenges of parenting five kids, admitting that his children have sometimes found it difficult to have a famous father.

Reflecting on his family life, Jamie acknowledged the complexities but praised his wife Jools for their successful parenting journey. Despite occasional hurdles, Jamie expressed gratitude for his family’s overall well-being and credited Jools for her role in their children’s upbringing.
