“Raducanu and Draper Set to Team Up at United Cup”

Emma Raducanu has spoken out following her selection to represent Great Britain at the upcoming United Cup in January. The renowned former US Open champion will team up with Jack Draper for the mixed-gender tournament.

Both Raducanu and Draper had to end their seasons prematurely, with Raducanu withdrawing due to medical issues and Draper facing an arm injury.

This will mark the debut of the duo at the United Cup, as Raducanu opted out of the Billie Jean King Cup to focus on individual competitions in Asia. However, she expressed enthusiasm about playing for Team GB alongside Draper, emphasizing the honor and excitement of the opportunity.

Raducanu faced challenges during the Asian swing after her US Open victory, including health concerns and early exits in tournaments. Following medical advice, she withdrew from her remaining 2025 events to address her health issues before the United Cup kick-off in January.

On the other hand, Draper’s return to action after Wimbledon was delayed due to an arm injury, but he is looking forward to competing in the United Cup. He is scheduled to make a comeback at the UTS London exhibition event, while Raducanu will participate in an exhibition match against Amanda Anisimova in Miami.

Both players are gearing up for the United Cup to start their 2026 seasons before shifting their focus to the Australian Open.
