The disappearance of a former British property developer has left his daughter deeply concerned while he was vacationing in Costa del Sol.
Clifford Wildgoose, aged 76, was last sighted at Patrick’s 19th Hole Bar in Puerto Banus near Marbella around 2 am on Saturday. He was scheduled to fly back to Manchester with a friend later that morning. However, his daughter, Melanie Hall, expressed worry as he was nowhere to be found at Malaga Airport, and his friends reported no contact with him.
Notably, a transaction of £7 was recorded on his bank card at a nearby supermarket, along with several minor purchases, raising further concerns. Ms. Hall highlighted the uncertainty surrounding these transactions, questioning whether they were initiated by her father or someone else in possession of his belongings.
Describing her father’s physical condition, Ms. Hall mentioned his challenges with mobility due to a knee replacement and other health issues. Wildgoose, a father of five daughters, hails from Ashton-under-Lyne, Tameside, and currently resides in Whitby, North Yorkshire.
She explained that Wildgoose left his phone and passport in his friend’s apartment in La Cala de Mijas, unfamiliar with the address due to his first visit. Ms. Hall emphasized her father’s friendly nature, business background, and the extensive support received from Yorkshire Police and Spanish authorities in investigating the case.
Family and authorities raised concerns about Wildgoose’s disappearance on social media, seeking any relevant information to assist in locating him. Ms. Hall’s online posts appealed for help in finding her father, expressing the family’s distress over the situation.
Additionally, she noted that Wildgoose was unwell at the time he went missing, adding to the urgency of locating him. Efforts to track his whereabouts and ensure his safety continue as his family remains hopeful for his safe return.
