Having hinted at a potential transition to boxing in recent months, Tate’s choice to take on DeMoor over speculated opponents like Darren Till and Roy Jones Jr has been confirmed. DeMoor, 29, is the current heavyweight champion who successfully defended his title against Natan Marcon in August.
While Till may be disappointed at missing out on a matchup with Tate, the former UFC title challenger is likely to feature in the undercard, although his opponent has yet to be revealed. Tate’s boxing debut against DeMoor is scheduled for December 20 at the Coca Cola Arena in Dubai. The event’s exact fight times are pending confirmation, but the main card is anticipated to kick off around 6pm UK time.
