Sky Customers Report ITVX App Glitch: Shows Skip to End

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue with the popular ITVX app. The problem started recently, causing interruptions during viewing as the app randomly skips to the end of programs. Users have reported instances where they are abruptly taken to the credits without using the fast-forward button on their remotes.

On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky expressed frustration, stating that ITV Player jumps to the end of episodes, making it challenging to watch. Another user, Dawn, reported similar issues, mentioning programs randomly skipping to the end, typically at the start or after an ad break.

The technical glitch seems to impact users with Sky’s online devices such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it’s uncertain if Sky Q is affected, most complaints come from users with broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.

The cause of the problem remains unknown, but a Sky employee named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that the company is working on a solution. Kev mentioned that the problem has been escalated to support teams to collaborate with ITV for a fix, promising updates as soon as more information is available.
