“Multiple Fatalities in Tragic Quebec Traffic Accidents”

Three individuals lost their lives in separate traffic accidents in Quebec overnight. In the first incident around 12:30 a.m., emergency responders were alerted to a vehicle that had swerved off Route 132 East, near Chemin Mistral, in Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, as per a statement from Sûreté du Québec. The driver, a 35-year-old man who was the sole occupant, seemed to have lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and was pronounced dead at the scene. Following the accident, the road was temporarily closed but reopened by approximately 4:45 a.m.

Later, at around 3:20 a.m., authorities were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on Route 138 near Franquelin. The SQ reported that the driver lost control of the vehicle, carrying four individuals, under unclear circumstances. One occupant was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital, while the other three are currently in critical condition. As a result, two out of three lanes in the vicinity of the incident were shut down Sunday morning.

A third car accident was reported at about 6 a.m. on Route 138 in Saint-Tite-des-Caps. According to the SQ, the driver appeared to have drifted out of their lane while traveling eastbound, leading to the vehicle rolling multiple times due to reasons that are still under investigation. A man and a woman in their thirties were in the car, both sustaining serious injuries. Tragically, the 37-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the hospital, while the man remains in critical condition.
