“Windsor Man Arrested for Impaired Driving After House Collision”

The Windsor Police Service announced that a 27-year-old man has been arrested for impaired driving following a car collision with a residence. Responding to a call on Armanda Street close to Malden Road around 2:30 a.m. on Thursday, officers discovered the vehicle situated on the front lawn of the house, its front bumper in contact with the front steps. The driver was found inside the vehicle.

Law enforcement officers observed various signs of potential impairment exhibited by the driver, such as red, glossy eyes, slurred speech, lack of balance, and difficulty in remaining awake. Subsequently, they apprehended the individual and transported him to Windsor police headquarters, where he underwent a breathalyzer test that indicated a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit by more than double. The man is facing charges related to impaired driving.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries resulting from the incident. However, the house sustained over $10,000 in damages.
