PGA Tour Pro Jake Knapp’s Partner Makena White Dies at 28

The partner of professional golfer Jake Knapp from the PGA Tour, Makena White, has passed away at the age of 28. Their relationship began in August 2023 and became public in 2024 following Knapp’s first win at the Mexico Open.

Knapp, who started his professional career in 2016, has achieved one victory and secured four top-10 finishes this year. Despite his accomplishments, he did not qualify for Team USA in the ongoing Ryder Cup.

White, originally from Canada, worked in surgical sales, specializing in providing medical equipment to vascular and cardiac surgeons. Sources indicate that she had a strong passion for sports, particularly hockey, and developed an early love for golf.

A statement shared on social media by a friend of White confirmed her untimely passing this week. The message expressed deep sorrow over the loss and highlighted White’s unique personality, kindness, and love for those around her.

The couple had been seen together on White’s Instagram account enjoying the scenery at North Berwick during the Genesis Scottish Open, where Knapp finished in a tie for 22nd place. In one of her final Instagram posts, White expressed her affection for the PGA tour golfer, celebrating their journey together and looking forward to the future.
