Ex-partners Sam Thompson and Samie Elishi had an unexpected reunion at the National Television Awards recently. The two reality TV personalities were spotted engaging in a friendly conversation in an outdoor smoking section at the O2 Arena during the awards ceremony.
Both Sam, 33, and Samie, 25, were among the attendees at the London event, which aired on ITV. While Sam covered the red carpet with his friend Pete Wicks, Samie represented the Love Island stars as the show was up for the Reality Competition award.
Despite reportedly ending their relationship over the summer, Sam and Samie crossed paths once again at the special event. Pictures shared by the Daily Mail captured the pair standing together outside the London venue, looking cheerful alongside another individual.
According to reports, the duo, who have managed to maintain a cordial relationship post-breakup, discreetly stepped out of the event for a smoke. They were seen conversing in the smoking area before departing, opting out of attending the official afterparty for this year’s NTAs.
Their recent interaction marked the second time in just a few weeks that Sam and Samie have been seen together. Previously, they met at a launch event hosted by the haircare brand REHAB back in July.
An insider revealed to the Daily Mail that at the event, Sam and Samie were spotted chatting while waiting for drinks, with Lucy Watson, Sam’s former co-star, also in attendance. The source noted the pair’s continuous gravitation towards each other throughout the evening.
The pair’s reunion comes after reports surfaced in June about their split following a brief two-month romance. Their involvement began post-Sam’s breakup with Zara McDermott, who gained fame on Love Island, similar to Samie.
A source previously confirmed the end of Sam and Samie’s relationship to the Mirror, citing busy schedules as a reason for the breakup. The insider mentioned, “They both have busy lives, it just didn’t work out.”
