Richard Osman, known for his work in television and successful novels, is now venturing into a new project. While he gained fame for co-presenting “Pointless,” he has shifted focus to writing. His debut novel, “The Thursday Murder Club,” released in 2020, was a hit and even adapted into a film this year featuring top actors like Dame Helen Mirren and Pierce Brosnan. Following the film’s success, Osman announced plans for a theatre adaptation of the book during an interview with Candis magazine. The story revolves around four retirees solving cold cases but takes a turn when they investigate a real murder. Osman, after the triumph of his first book, introduced a new series with the first book, “We Solve Murders,” hitting shelves last year. He also shared his enthusiasm for the upcoming installment in the series. Before his writing career, Osman worked on popular game shows like “Deal or No Deal” and “8 Out of 10 Cats.” His game show journey continued with the success of “Pointless” and his BBC show “House of Games,” now in its eighth season.
