“Taylor Swift Set to Testify in Blake Lively Legal Dispute”

Taylor Swift is moving closer to potentially testifying in a legal dispute involving her former friend, Blake Lively, and Justin Baldoni. Last December, Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging emotional distress due to his behavior during a project. Baldoni, in turn, countersued Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, claiming extortion and defamation. Additionally, he filed a separate defamation suit against The New York Times.

The rift between Lively and Swift escalated when Swift’s name was brought into Lively’s ongoing legal clash with Justin over an acting project. Allegations surfaced that Lively attempted to pressure Swift into publicly speaking out against Justin, whom Lively accused of misconduct, and that certain text messages were deleted.

Recently, court documents revealed that Swift has been requested to participate in a deposition after the release of her album in October, with the deposition scheduled for the week starting October 20. Justin’s legal team is seeking a deadline extension to depose Swift.

In a letter to Judge Lewis J. Liman, Justin’s lawyer clarified that the request was not for a blanket extension but solely to depose Swift during a specific week due to her professional commitments. Earlier, Judge Liman dismissed Baldoni’s countersuit and the defamation claim against The New York Times.

Reports indicate that Swift and Lively are not communicating, with fans speculating about a possible reference to Lively in Swift’s upcoming album. Swift’s album announcement included a track titled “Ruin the Friendship,” rumored to be about her relationship with Lively. A close source confirmed that Swift and Lively are not on speaking terms.

Efforts to reach out to Taylor Swift’s representatives for comments were unsuccessful.
