“UK Tech Secretary Slams Elon Musk’s Divisive Rhetoric”

The newly appointed Technology Secretary has criticized Elon Musk for allegedly fueling violence and animosity in the UK.

Liz Kendall, who assumed the position during a recent reshuffle, condemned the Twitter owner for his remarks at a Tommy Robinson rally where he warned of impending violence.

Musk has faced backlash from UK officials, including Keir Starmer, for his statements suggesting that individuals on the right should prepare for violence. During a video link to a London demonstration, Musk stated, “Whether you choose violence or not, violence is coming to you. You either fight back or you die.”

Ms. Kendall expressed her frustration with Musk’s comments, accusing him of attempting to sow division and incite violence and hatred, which she believes goes against the desires of the British people.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan also weighed in, claiming that Donald Trump and his associates have significantly contributed to the rise of divisive far-right politics globally in recent years.

In response to Khan’s remarks, Ms. Kendall disagreed, highlighting Musk as a more divisive figure. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a strong relationship with the US and President Trump for national security, job opportunities, and prosperity.

The US-UK tech deal, announced during Trump’s state visit, aims to foster collaboration in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and nuclear power. Ms. Kendall praised the agreement, stating that it signifies a vote of confidence in Britain’s thriving AI sector, promising economic growth, advanced medical treatments, and accelerated scientific advancements.
