“Amazon Launches Slimmer, Faster Fire TV Stick HD”

Amazon has unveiled a new streaming device that outshines its predecessors in terms of features. The Fire TV Stick HD, the latest addition to the tech giant’s lineup, will be available for purchase at £39.99 starting later this month. Despite its lower price point, the device boasts significant improvements, including a slimmer and more stylish design compared to the older models.

The new Fire TV Stick HD is now 30% narrower, making it not only easier to fit behind TVs but also highly portable for users on the go. A notable feature of this streaming device is that it draws power directly from the TV’s USB port, eliminating the need for a separate power adapter.

According to Amazon, “The new Fire TV Stick HD is our slimmest streaming device to date, with a smaller volume and width than previous models, and optimized for Direct Power through the TV’s USB port, allowing for a neater fit behind a TV without requiring an additional power adapter.”

Similar to other Fire TV Sticks, this device provides instant access to popular streaming services like Disney+, Apple TV, Prime Video, iPlayer, ITVX, and Netflix. It also includes a convenient remote with Alexa voice search and quick launch buttons for apps.

While it doesn’t offer 4K resolution, the Fire TV Stick HD supports full HD viewing, suitable for most households. Amazon highlights that the new device delivers noticeable speed enhancements compared to previous HD models, being over 30% faster on average. This translates to quicker start-up times and faster app loading.

Moreover, the device comes equipped with the latest Fire operating system, promising a cleaner user experience, enhanced recommendations, and a more streamlined content discovery process.

The Fire TV Stick HD will hit stores on April 29th with a price tag of £39.99.
