Apple has introduced AppleCare One in the UK, extending its service from the US to British customers. This new subscription allows users to protect up to three eligible devices, such as iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple Watches, under a single plan for £16.99 per month.
With AppleCare One, customers can get accidental damage, loss, or theft coverage, with Apple offering repair services or up to three replacement devices annually per claim. This service enhances the existing AppleCare+ benefits, providing unlimited accidental damage repairs, battery servicing, and 24/7 priority access to Apple support.
One of the key advantages of AppleCare One is the cost savings it offers. By consolidating multiple devices under one subscription, users can save up to £11.48 per month compared to purchasing individual AppleCare+ plans for each device separately.
Unlike the typical 60-day window for AppleCare+ purchases after acquiring a device, AppleCare One allows users to add eligible devices up to four years old as long as they are in good condition. This flexibility enables customers to protect their existing devices beyond the initial purchase period.
Moreover, the plan seamlessly accommodates device upgrades. When a covered device is traded in for a new one from Apple, the old device is automatically removed from the subscription, and the new device is added without any additional steps, ensuring continuous coverage.
Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Product Marketing, Bob Borchers, highlighted the customer-centric approach of AppleCare One, emphasizing the simplicity and flexibility it offers to UK customers. The plan aims to provide peace of mind with comprehensive coverage for all eligible products under one straightforward pricing structure.
