A recent incident revealed that a commercial jet came into close proximity with Air Force One en route to the UK. The large Boeing 747 was flying over New York when air traffic controllers noticed a Spirit Airlines plane following a similar flight path. Although the two planes remained at a safe distance and there was no imminent danger, the controller instructed the Spirit Flight 1300 pilots to adjust their course promptly.
In response to the controller’s directions, the Spirit Airlines flight, traveling from Fort Lauderdale to Boston, altered its direction after being reminded to focus and disengage from distractions. The controller can be heard in the audio instructing the Spirit Airlines flight to turn right immediately to avoid any potential proximity issues with the 747.
President Trump and First Lady Melania safely arrived in the UK for a state visit without any further incidents. They are scheduled to attend a state banquet this evening where they will meet with the King and Queen. The King is anticipated to deliver a welcoming speech to the US president, while Queen Camilla plans to showcase an antique dolls’ house to Melania, crafted over a century ago by architect Sir Edwin Lutyens.
