“Dolph Lundgren Declares Victory Over Cancer at 67”

Dolph Lundgren, known for his role in the Rocky movies, shared that he is in good health after successfully overcoming cancer last year. Lundgren, 67, disclosed at the BAFTA TV Tea Party in Beverly Hills that he is now considered NED, which stands for “No evidence of disease.”

The Swedish actor opened up about his private battle with cancer that began in 2015 when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. Despite a recurrence of the illness in 2020, Lundgren persevered and received a grim prognosis of only two to three years to live from a doctor.

Reflecting on his challenging journey, Lundgren mentioned that he faced a tough fight for about five years, with three particularly difficult years. However, he is now feeling better and has resumed his normal routine, including regular workouts, although at a slightly less intense level.

While acknowledging his changed approach to physical activities, Lundgren emphasized that he can still engage in all his previous pursuits despite his health ordeal. He expressed gratitude for his loved ones, emphasizing his newfound appreciation for life following his battle with cancer.

Lundgren, who has daughters Ida and Greta from his previous marriage, tied the knot with Emma Krokdal in 2023. He also speculated on a possible connection between his past steroid use during his bodybuilding and action film career and his cancer diagnosis.

Discussing the relapse he experienced in 2020, Lundgren recounted the discovery of additional tumors and the subsequent surgery to remove them. Fortunately, the procedure was successful, and Lundgren happily announced his victory over cancer in November, expressing his excitement for a healthy future.
