EE has unveiled an upgraded version of its Scam Guard service to combat the increasing threat of scams. With millions of pounds lost daily in the UK to cyber thieves utilizing evolving tactics, the new service aims to enhance protection for mobile customers.
Available to all EE pay-monthly subscribers for a monthly fee of £2, the updated Scam Guard is designed to offer improved security measures. Since its initial launch in 2024, the service has already thwarted 169 million scam and spam attempts.
The latest iteration of Scam Guard integrates AI Triple-Lock Protection, featuring Safe Email for proactive email scam defense, Safe SMS to identify sophisticated text message scams, and Safe Web to block malicious online sites. Additionally, the upgrade introduces Scam Assistant for instant advice on potentially harmful content and Social Media Monitoring and Dark Web Monitoring for tracking suspicious online activity.
