Freeview TV users are in for a treat with the recent addition of two new channels to the free-to-view platform. The first one, wedotv Movies UK, has transitioned from an online-only service to a full over-the-air channel, allowing all households to enjoy back-to-back films featuring recent blockbusters like One-Eyed Jacks, Willow Creek, and The Way.
For the younger audience, there’s Cartoon Classics now available on channel 214, offering a selection of classic animated shows such as The Smurfs, Count Duckula, Sonic X, and Leo & Tig.
To access these new channels, users are advised to ensure their Freeview TV is fully updated and retuned. Freeview has announced upcoming changes on October 22, 2025, prompting users to retune their devices to keep their channels and TV Guide current.
Additionally, the channel previously known as Gems TV on channel 45 has been rebranded as Gemporia. Freeview has provided a step-by-step guide on how to retune devices, including pressing the menu button on the remote control, selecting the setup or installation option, choosing first-time installation, and saving any found channels when prompted.
Freeview emphasizes that channel lineups are continuously evolving, with channels making decisions to move, add, or remove content to ensure audiences can enjoy a diverse range of programming.
