“Get £25 Cold Weather Payments Now!”

During the winter season, you could qualify for £25 payments through the Cold Weather Payment initiative as temperatures drop.

The Cold Weather Payments for 2025/26 have commenced, offering £25 for each period of seven consecutive days where the average temperature in your area falls to zero degrees or below.

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) administers the Cold Weather Payments, and you may receive multiple payments for multiple periods of freezing weather.

To be eligible for a Cold Weather Payment, you must be receiving specific benefits such as Income Support, Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance, or Income-related Employment and Support Allowance. If you meet the criteria, the payment should be automatically deposited into your bank account within 14 working days.

Individuals claiming the aforementioned benefits need to contact Jobcentre Plus to ensure they receive the Cold Weather Payment if they qualify.

The Cold Weather Payment scheme will continue until March 31, 2026. Most recipients will receive payments without needing to apply, except for those with babies or children under five moving in with them.

You can verify if you are due a payment in your region by using a postcode checker on GOV.UK. However, Cold Weather Payments are not applicable in Scotland. Instead, they are replaced by the Winter Heating Payment of £59.75.
