“Man Charged in Online Chemical Sales Linked to Suicides”

A man was arrested in January for allegedly selling chemicals online that may have contributed to two suspected suicides. Miles Cross, a 33-year-old from Wrexham in north Wales, faces charges for selling a substance online believed to have been involved in two deaths. The North Wales Police are looking into the connection between the substance, sold in four packages, and the deaths. Cross was charged on Friday with four counts related to encouraging or assisting suicide.

According to a statement by the police, Cross is accused in connection with two suspected suicides in the UK. The charges were made on Friday, September 12, under Section 2(1) of the Suicide Act 1961. The investigation involves two deaths that are linked to the sale of four packages of a substance online. Cross is scheduled to appear before the Wrexham Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 16.

Malcolm McHaffie from the Crown Prosecution Service stated that they have decided to prosecute Miles Cross for four offenses related to encouraging or assisting suicide after a police inquiry into a business selling substances through an online platform. The decision to prosecute was based on the evidence gathered and the determination that it is in the public interest to pursue legal action. The prosecutors collaborated closely with the North Wales Police during their investigation.
