McDonald’s in the UK is introducing a selection of eight international items to its menu for the first time starting today. The offerings include burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and beverages from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, as well as desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
The newly launched menu will be available for six weeks, featuring unique items sourced from various countries. Among the highlights is the Maple BBQ and Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada, a burger with two quarter pounder beef patties, maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, and pickles.
Additionally, McDonald’s is bringing the Pineapple McSpicy from Australia, a spicy chicken burger topped with a slice of pineapple, bacon, cheese, and lettuce. From Japan, the menu includes the Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets, made of 100% chicken breast meat in a crispy coating, served with a garlic and soy mayo dip.
New side options consist of Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries from Poland, which are regular fries with a unique seasoning packet to shake and coat the fries. Another side is the Mac and Cheese Triangles from the United Arab Emirates, featuring macaroni pasta in a cheddar cheese sauce, covered in a crispy breadcrumb coating and served with tomato ketchup.
For dessert, customers can enjoy the Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia, a decadent treat with chocolate and molten caramel. Two new McFlurries from Malaysia, the Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, offer a creamy soft serve swirled with pretzel pieces and chocolate or caramel sauce.
To complement these international delights, McDonald’s is also introducing the Sakura x Sprite drink from Japan, described as a floral and fizzy refreshment. This diverse and limited-time menu aims to offer customers a taste of global flavors right at their local McDonald’s.
