New Look has introduced its inaugural loyalty program offering exclusive discounts to members.
Club New Look is a complimentary membership with benefits such as weekly “Club Prices” on selected items, early access to sales and promotions, and participation in exclusive competitions.
Upon joining, members receive a 25% welcome discount. The fashion retailer aims to provide a more personalized shopping experience for its 10 million established customers.
CEO Helen Connolly stated, “Club New Look is our innovative loyalty initiative to provide unique benefits that make our members feel valued, acknowledged, and inspired.”
After a successful initial launch with 500,000 customers joining, New Look targets 800,000 members by the end of the fiscal year. The company plans to expand nationally as part of its strategy to enhance digital, personalized, and rewarding shopping experiences.
In related news, New Look shut down numerous stores this year, including 26 in the Republic of Ireland as it exited the market.
Reports from The Times indicate New Look’s intention to accelerate store closures upon lease expiration due to increased costs from minimum wage and National Insurance rates.
Although New Look did not confirm the closure risk for a quarter of its stores, the retailer’s website lists 338 stores in the UK.
Meanwhile, US brand Anthropologie plans to open three new stores in the UK, with new locations in Liverpool, Glasgow, and Manchester.
Gap also announced its return to the UK high street with three standalone stores, including a flagship store in Covent Garden, followed by openings in Westfield London and Wembley Park London Designer Outlet.
Gap currently operates four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores and more than 40 concessions in Next stores across England and Ireland.
