Olympic Medalist Inspires Young Athletes at ESM Club

Georgia Hunter Bell, an Olympic bronze medalist in the 1500m, recently won a silver medal in the 800m world championship in Tokyo. She visited Ealing Southall & Middlesex Athletics Club to share her experiences with young athletes. During her visit, she trained the youngsters, participated in a Q&A session, and emphasized the importance of bravery in racing.

Hunter Bell highlighted the significance of discipline in areas like sleep, hydration, and recovery for athletes aiming for success. She shared her journey of leaving a cybersecurity job to pursue athletics, encouraging young athletes to focus on their own paths without comparing themselves to others.

The club members were thrilled to have Hunter Bell visit, following in the footsteps of former athlete Dame Kelly Holmes in representing their nation. Peter Flewitt, the ESM membership manager, expressed pride in Hunter Bell’s achievements and the impact of her visit on inspiring young athletes to believe in their potential with the right support and dedication.
