In a post dated September 15, Bragg, a native of Essex, criticized the state visit as a “moment of national humiliation,” cautioning against appeasing bullies. He emphasized the importance of resisting the influence of Trump in UK politics and invited his followers to join him at the Stop Trump rally in Parliament Square.
Today, Bragg, aged 67, addressed the crowd in Parliament Square, performing his protest song Hundred Year Hunger and asserting that President Trump could swiftly end the Gaza conflict with a single word. The rally featured various speakers, with attendees restricted to Parliament Square and Whitehall due to public order conditions.
Meanwhile, Channel 4 also took a stand against President Trump, pledging to expose his falsehoods during the State Visit to the United Kingdom. Ian Katz, Channel 4’s chief content officer, announced plans to broadcast what they believe to be the most extensive reel of Trump’s untruths ever shown on television, aiming to highlight the dangers of a leader who disregards the truth.
