Ringo Starr, the iconic Beatles legend, recently revealed that he hasn’t had a chance to watch the latest installment of the Beatles anthology series set to release on Disney+ on November 26. His focus has been on creating new music instead of catching up on the show.
The 85-year-old musician, currently gearing up for his All Star Band tour, expressed his excitement about the new anthology but mentioned his lack of insight into Episode 9. He confirmed rumors about completing his second consecutive country album and third in his career, produced by the renowned T Bone Burnett. His previous country album, “Look Up,” achieved significant success, reaching the number one spot in the UK and making its mark on various Billboard charts.
Regarding his upcoming album, Ringo shared his enthusiasm for country music, mentioning his contributions to the songwriting and a cover of a Carl Perkins track. He reminisced about his early days with the Beatles, recording Carl Perkins songs and expressing his admiration for the artist.
Apart from his music endeavors, Ringo also disclosed details about his new art exhibition featuring large paintings created through a unique spin art technique. The exhibition, showcasing his artistic talent, will be on display at the Venetian in Las Vegas during his tour.
Ringo, currently rehearsing with his bandmates for the All Starr Band tour, is set to kick off the tour tonight at the Chicago Theatre, followed by performances across the United States, including multiple shows in Las Vegas. Additionally, he will be unveiling his art exhibition at the Animazing Art Gallery in Las Vegas, marking his first exhibition since 2019.
The Beatles’ iconic ‘Anthology’ series, which originally aired on ITV in 1995, has been restored and remastered for a re-release on Disney+ in November. The reimagined series will include a new Episode Nine with unseen footage of Paul, George, and Ringo working on “The Anthology” between 1994 and 1995.
The Anthology, known for its candid storytelling by the Beatles members, traces the band’s legendary journey from their roots in Liverpool to global stardom. It features rare archival footage of the band’s live performances and rehearsals, introducing their legacy to new generations of fans and continuing their creative and commercial influence to this day.
