A recent study of 2,000 adults identified the top 20 ‘home wins,’ which include simple pleasures like finding a pair of matching socks in the dryer, having someone replace the toilet paper roll, and discovering the last ice cream hidden in the freezer.
The survey revealed that 45% of participants find joy in fresh sheets on the bed, while 36% love receiving a package earlier than expected. Additionally, 26% appreciate achieving ‘washing basket zero,’ 24% enjoy stumbling upon their favorite movie on TV, and a remarkable 70% believe that a small home victory can turn a bad day into a good one.
The research was conducted by Cadbury Ice Cream in conjunction with the launch of their ‘They’ll be Huge In Your House’ campaign, featuring the introduction of their Dairy Milk sticks in mini sizes.
According to Kim Jacks, a representative for the brand, the initiative highlights how small things can have a significant impact. She stated, “This launch has shown us that small can be mighty, and we wanted to explore other little joys that hold importance in people’s homes.

Among the celebrants, creating wins for other household members is common, with over three-quarters engaging in such gestures.
These acts may include preparing a loved one’s favorite meal (49%), allowing them to choose the TV program (42%), or taking on one of their tasks (41%), with 28% surprising a family member by stocking the freezer with their preferred ice cream.
Regarding enjoying ice cream as a home win, nearly a quarter prefer to share this experience with the household, while 34% opt to do so in the garden when the weather is pleasant.
In general, 36% of respondents wish to savor sweet treats without interruptions, and 21% admit to sneaking a treat before anyone notices.
Overall, respondents consider these wins as a reminder to feel grateful (37%) and as a sign that they have things under control (32%), according to data from OnePoll.com.
