“UK Braces for Snow: 77 Regions to See Snowfall in Next 2 Days”

Newly updated weather models indicate that snowfall is expected in up to 77 regions across the United Kingdom in the next two days.

The UK’s Met Office has issued multiple yellow alerts for snowy and icy conditions, along with a rare amber warning for parts of Yorkshire and the North East, where snowfall of up to 25cm is possible tomorrow.

Weather forecasts from GFS models suggest that snow will move from the north to the south of the country today, potentially reaching as far as the southern coast of England. Tomorrow, snow showers are anticipated mainly in Scotland and the North East of England.

Snowfall maps indicate that around 80 regions could experience snow accumulation by tomorrow morning. This follows the unexpected snowfall in London earlier today.

The Met Office has warned of temperatures dropping as low as -12C in some areas of Scotland overnight, with southern regions expected to see lows of -8C.

Alerts have been issued for northern Scotland, Northern Ireland, South Wales, the southwest of England, East Anglia, Yorkshire, and the North East.

Drivers are advised to exercise caution on the roads as challenging conditions may lead to travel disruptions. Additionally, the Met Office recommends keeping essential supplies in vehicles.

The national weather service emphasizes the importance of preparation for snowy weather conditions, suggesting planning routes, checking for delays, allowing extra travel time, and packing necessary items in case of emergencies.
