WhatsApp stated, “About will now have increased visibility in 1-1 chats and on user profiles. Users can interact with someone’s About directly by tapping on it in a chat. Additionally, About updates will expire after one day, but users have the option to customize the duration it remains visible by adjusting the settings.”
For those concerned about privacy, WhatsApp offers controls to manage who can view their About status. Users can choose to limit visibility to their contacts or expand it to a wider audience based on their preferences.
