A young boy, aged seven, passed away after suffering from stomach pain for two years, which was later diagnosed as cancer. Feliks Jama initially sought medical attention for his stomach cramps in 2023, leading to the discovery of an 8cm tumor on his kidney, alongside other tumors in his lungs and abdomen. Despite undergoing various treatments, including radiotherapy and chemotherapy, the tumors reappeared, prompting further medical intervention in his hometown hospital in Dolsk, Poland.
After a brief attempt at treatment in Germany proved unsuccessful, Feliks returned to Poland, where he sadly succumbed to the illness on September 14. The Piece of Heaven Foundation mourned his loss, expressing their belief that he now rests in peace, serving as a guiding presence in heaven. The foundation had initiated an online fundraising campaign earlier to support Feliks’ medical expenses, which garnered significant support from 11,330 individuals, raising over £220,000.
The family’s crowdfunding statement conveyed their devastation over the recurrence of Feliks’ illness after a period of apparent recovery. They detailed the emotional journey of discovering the tumors and the subsequent challenges faced during treatment. This tragic event has deeply impacted the community and emphasizes the importance of ongoing support for families battling such devastating illnesses.
