In the latest update for December 2025, the Premium Bond results were disclosed today, revealing that two fortunate individuals have become £1 million richer.
Every month, there are two winners of £1 million in Premium Bonds. The first winner in the December 2025 draw resides in Norwich and holds £35,000 in Premium Bonds. Their winning bond number, 591RD417238, was purchased in August 2024. The second winner, who resides in Cornwall, holds £20,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 615WP633178 purchased in February 2025.
Premium Bonds, a savings product by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), differ from traditional savings accounts by offering participants the chance to win cash prizes through a monthly draw instead of receiving a fixed interest rate on their savings.
The range of prizes in the Premium Bonds draw varies from £25 as the smallest prize to a grand prize of £1 million. While there is no guarantee of winning a prize each month, the majority of prizes awarded are smaller amounts like the £25 prize. The odds of winning a prize with each Premium Bond number are 22,000 to 1.
NS&I Retail Director, Andrew Westhead, congratulated the two winners, emphasizing the joy of becoming millionaires just in time for Christmas. In December, the prize pool includes over six million prizes, including notable amounts such as 77 prizes of £100,000 and 153 prizes of £50,000. Currently, there are over 22 million individuals holding Premium Bonds.
To check if they have won a prize, participants can use the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app. Winners are notified via email or text message and can choose to have their prize deposited into their bank account or reinvested in Premium Bonds. The prize fund rate, equivalent to an interest rate for Premium Bonds, stands at 3.60%.
Despite a slight decline in the prize fund rate in recent months, there are still two £1 million prizes awarded monthly. In the most recent draw in August 2025, the prize fund rate was reduced to 3.60%. Nearly 23 million individuals are currently invested in Premium Bonds.
