Ferrari’s president, John Elkann, criticized Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc after a disappointing Sao Paulo Grand Prix. Elkann urged the drivers to focus more on driving and less on talking, as both failed to score any points in the race, retiring due to separate incidents.
Meanwhile, Ferrari’s World Endurance Championship team secured the championship title at the Eight Hours of Bahrain. Italian driver Alessandro Pier Guidi, former Sauber F1 racer Antonio Giovinazzi, and British driver James Calado clinched the drivers’ title, with Ferrari topping the manufacturers’ standings by 74 points.
Despite success in the World Endurance Championship, Ferrari has faced challenges in Formula 1 this season. Elkann expressed disappointment over the team’s lack of competitiveness, emphasizing the need for drivers to prioritize driving over other distractions.
Currently placed fourth in the constructors’ championship, Ferrari is yet to secure a Grand Prix victory in 2025, trailing behind Mercedes and Red Bull. Both Hamilton and Leclerc voiced their frustrations over the team’s performance in recent races, highlighting the need for improvement and a strong finish in the remaining three races.
