Malehya Brooks-Murray has come forward after more than 15 months of silence regarding the disappearance of her children, Jack and Lilly Sullivan. The siblings went missing from Lansdowne, N.S., last May, leaving the community puzzled and speculating about their fate.
With no clear leads, suspects, or information on the RCMP’s investigative direction, Brooks-Murray has faced public scrutiny for staying out of the public eye. In an exclusive interview with CBC News and The Globe and Mail, she asserted her innocence, denied any involvement in her children’s disappearance, and expressed hope for their safe return.
Brooks-Murray revealed that her silence was at the RCMP’s behest, emphasizing her cooperation with authorities to avoid hindering the investigation. However, she now feels her patience wearing thin, seeking closure and answers to the mystery surrounding her children’s vanishing.
