Montreal Canadiens’ legendary goaltender, Carey Price, is set to be honored at the Bell Centre for his upcoming induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame. The team announced that Price will return to the Bell Centre on November 10th to celebrate this prestigious achievement, following his official induction on the preceding day.
Price, who has spent his entire illustrious 15-year NHL career in Montreal, will be recognized as the 62nd member of the organization to enter the Hall of Fame. In addition to this honor, he will be immortalized in the Bell Centre’s Ring of Honour, reserved for esteemed former players who have left an indelible mark on the sport of hockey.
Throughout his career spanning 712 games, Price has maintained an impressive 2.51 goals-against average and a .917 save percentage. He holds the franchise record for most games played and victories as a goaltender for the Canadiens, solidifying his legacy in the team’s history.
The special ceremony to honor Carey Price will take place during a game against the Minnesota Wild. Price, a seven-time all-star and the fifth overall pick in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, has been a stalwart figure for the Canadiens.
As the Canadiens gear up for the upcoming season, they will commence their pre-season on September 19th, with the regular season opener scheduled for September 29th against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
