Despite facing internal conflicts, they continued to dominate the music scene until their official disbandment in 2013 after their Ten: The Greatest Hits Tour, marking a decade of musical success.
Hailing from Bradford, Kimberley recently discussed their latest tour, which commemorated their two-decade reign on the charts. The tour, a complete sell-out, took them across the country, uniting them closely with bandmates Cheryl Tweedy and Nadine Coyle, who are also mothers. Kimberley emphasized how motherhood has deepened their connections, making them feel more united than ever before.
“We were once naive kids, experiencing something extraordinary together. Now, as mothers, our children are our top priority,” Kimberley expressed in an interview with The Sun. The tour served as a tribute to their late bandmate, Sarah Harding, who tragically passed away in 2021 after battling breast cancer. Before her death, Sarah expressed her wish for the band to continue their legacy in her honor, a sentiment that resonated deeply with the remaining members.
Throughout the tour, the band endeavored to honor Sarah’s memory, ensuring she remained a vital part of their performances. Kimberley reflected on the emotional challenge of keeping Sarah’s spirit alive during the shows, particularly during poignant moments like her lead vocals playing in “I’ll Stand By You.” Despite the difficulty, Kimberley cherished these moments as a heartfelt tribute to their beloved friend.
