Lenovo has introduced a new contender to challenge Apple’s iPad dominance in the tablet market with the launch of the Tab Plus Gen 2. This tablet features a large 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate and vibrant Dolby Vision visuals.
What sets the Tab Plus Gen 2 apart is its unique design. Instead of the typical metal casing, it boasts a large circular speaker powered by JBL technology. This speaker not only enhances audio for entertainment like movies and gaming but can also function as a Bluetooth speaker with a special mode. Additionally, the tablet includes Dolby Atmos support for an immersive audio experience.
A standout feature of the Tab Plus Gen 2 is its built-in kickstand, offering convenience for hands-free viewing. The kickstand has a 360-degree rotation, allowing for landscape and portrait modes, and can even double as a handle for better portability.
Under the hood, the tablet is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 processor, a sizable 10,200mAh battery with fast charging capabilities, and 128GB of storage expandable via an SD Card.
Interested buyers can purchase the Tab Plus Gen 2 for £369, making it a more affordable option compared to Apple’s iPad, which starts at £429 and goes up to £749 for the Air model.
